Amman, May 23 (Petra) -- Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordanian Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC), Muhammad Thunaibat, has held discussions with Bulgarian Minister of Economy and Industry, Nikola Stoyanov, in Sofia, Bulgaria, to explore avenues of collaboration between the two countries in the field of phosphate fertilizer industry and exchange of experiences.

During the meeting, attended by the Jordanian Consul in Bulgaria Hassan Baramawy, Thunaibat reiterated the company's commitment to meeting the phosphate and phosphate fertilizer needs of the Bulgarian market, emphasizing the JPMC's strong interest in forging global partnerships with mining-focused companies worldwide, including European countries, to cater to their phosphate-related requirements.

Highlighting the significant advancements witnessed by Jordan's mining sector, particularly in the phosphate fertilizer industry, Thunaibat showcased JPMC's achievements in production, sales, and its transition towards manufacturing industries through establishing factories to meet growing market demands.

Thunaibat expressed the company's eagerness to explore new avenues of collaboration between Jordan and Bulgaria in the mining sector, building upon the existing strong relations between the two countries. Additionally, he emphasized the JPMC's readiness to host a Bulgarian economic delegation to discuss cooperation opportunities and joint investments in phosphate fertilizer production and manufacturing.

In response, Stoyanov commended Jordan's remarkable achievements across all sectors, particularly in the phosphate fertilizer industry, and expressed Bulgaria's keenness to exchange expertise with the JPMC and to identify joint projects that would strengthen trade and economic relations between Europe and the Middle East.
