Amman, July 9 (Petra) - World Confederation of Business (WORLDCOB) granted Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC), the Award for Business Excellence, among 3,500 entities representing 130 countries across the world.

The JPMC was honored for fulfilling the award's standards in the areas of business entrepreneurship, product quality, management systems, innovation, social responsibility and outcomes.

Announcing the award's winners, WORLDCOB CEO, Jesus J. Moran, stressed that the JPMC was honored for its "distinguished" position globally and its "remarkable" efforts to realize excellence in all fields.

For his part, JPMC CEO, Abdel Wahab Alrowwad, said the award confirms the company's keenness to adopt and promote a culture of excellence, entrepreneurship and creativity in all fields, aimed to enhance its local, regional and global position and its capability to compete.

Through its plans and programs, he said JPMC attaches "great" importance to continuing efforts to achieve further achievements in its various fields, especially in terms of production, sales, manufacturing industries, as well as "advanced" business and administrative systems.

WORLDCOB, a U.S. -based organization, has been working annually since 2005 to assess companies across the world from all sectors and reward winners that meet the required standards.
